1 COMPOSITION

Each ml contains:Tylosin tartrate 200 mg

2 Indication Treats shipping fever, pneumonia, foot rot, calf diphtheria, metritis in beef cattle and non-lactating dairy cattle .
3 PHARMACOLOGY Tylosin is thought to have the same mechanism of action as ery-thromycin (binds to 50S ribosome and inhibits protein synthesis) and exhibits a similar spectrum of activity. It is a bacteriostatic antibiotic. For more specific information on or-ganisms that tylosin is usually active against. Refer to the erythromycin monography just prior to this one. Cross resistance with erythromycin occurs.
4 DOSAGE Beef and non-lactating dairy cattle: 10—20mg per kg of body weight once daily, Treatment should be continued 24 hours after symptoms of the disease have stopped. Not to exceed 5 days. Do not inject more than 10 ml per injection site
5 WARNING Do not mix Tylosin injection with other injectable solutions as this may cause precipitation of the active ingredients. Do not administer to horses or other equine species. Injection of tylosin in equines has been fatal.
6 WITHDRAWAL PERIOD Cattle: 21 days
7 PRECAUTIONS Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. For animal use only
8 PACKAGING Multi-dose vials of 50ml and 100ml.
9 STORAGE Store in a cool dry place under 22°C. Away from direct sunlight.
10 SHELF LIFE 3 years
